For many structural applications, IsoTruss® composite grid structures offer a major improvement in structural performance relative to more conventional composite configurations, such as traditional shell or sandwich structures. Composite grid structures take full advantage of the mechanical properties of continuous fiber composite materials by creating open structures that orient bundles of unidirectional fiber in the primary load paths.
