Arantix Mountain Bike Test Ride - Canyons Resort

August 15th, 2009 admin No comments

I took the Delta 7 Arantix mountian bike out for a spin at The Canyons Resort for a pre-ride of the Intermountain Cup 1st Annual ROCK THE CANYONS XC Race and that was it - I was sold!

This bike climbs like you have legs of steel and bombs the downhill like you are floating in in the clouds. At one point I turned to my buddy but he wasn’t there - I was flying up a very steep angle and didn’t even know it.

Then after miles of uphill it was time for Holly’s Downhill - this is where I was really sold. My buddy just shook his head at the bottom because I couldn’t stop laughing the whole way down - the bike was an easy ride for a hardtail - bouncing off rocks instead of tossing you.

One suggestion for the ladies - it seemed to ride a bit big - be sure if you buy this bike, that you purchase the correct size and have it fitted to you - I could have used a shorter stem on the medium frame (I’m 5′6″).

Regardless, Saturday during the uphill on the race course in blazing sunlight - I definately remember wishing my fairly lightweight Cannondale was built like a Delta 7! Sell the farm, re-mortgage the house - get one of these bikes if uphill is your thing!

Incredibly lightweight mountain bike!
